2014

Heyo!

So it's a new year and that means new things, right?
I'm proud to say that I've decided to go to college (university, whatever) for art, though I haven't commited to a particular school yet for financial school. Hopefully I will be able to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, of that isn't a reality, however, I will be happily studying at Miami University (both schools have accepted me).

I've spent a lot more time this year on art than in the past.
Part of that is because the demands of my art classes are higher, but I also feel more motivated to create art.
I guess before I would just mess around with things, making or just starting pieces that I didn't plan on sharing with anyone, being that dreaded person who used the work of others without permission in order to grow (if that was you, I apologize. No one saw it or ever will see it without you knowing, I promise. If you still wish to kill me in my sleep for my treason, I understand). Now though, I finish most of what I start and focus more on my own art than just growing my skills.

Just some small updates in my journey as an artist include:

• Falling in love with india ink
• More digital work via my highschool news magazine
• ---(shameless plug) Spark Online
• Lots of new art
  
• Working with metal/jewelry making for the first time
• ---Playing with fire is an added bonus
• Defining my "style" more

So yeah, happy 2014!
